The thing I love about interior design is to make a space; comfortable, practical and personal. But what I love most is to help clients find their own style. I believe very strongly in this principle, clients should not live in somebody else’s design, but the design and decorations should match them and their way of life. To achieve such a goal, numerous pots of tea with a good conversation are generally required.

For 8 years, I had an interior design and decorating shop in the Netherlands and worked on projects across Europe. The style of my shop in the Netherlands was classified as English country living, which is ironic, as that is exactly how I’m living right now.

In 2010 I moved to the UK after falling in love with my British prince charming. My love for England was already well established as I had an English grandmother and spend many summers here in my youth. Now ten years on, with 3 children, 1 labrador, 2 cats, 6 chickens, 1 cow, various ponies and a huge building project later, I feel well rooted in England.
